▪ No business plan or clear strategy from the beginning ▪Management continued to lack direction despite seeking advice as he never took any of it onboard ▪ Management continued to hire or retain staff not well suited for their role or for the business even though he literally was at the point of avoiding certain team members ▪ Management was in clear and constant denial about the trajectory of the business and continued to hire new staff even though a reasonable person should have been able to foresee that the additional headcount was not sustainable ▪Severe lack of communication with all team members about everything from business goals to payroll ▪Management never celebrated wins and blamed issues or losses on everyone else instead of trying to understand the situation in order to improve the business, the team or himself ▪No work life balance and you are judged for not putting in the same hours as the boss (i.e. not working beyond the office hours) ▪Not receptive to new ideas or solutions that have clearly worked for other start ups ▪Extreme distrust for the entire team
