I worked at Achievers full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great culture and awesome management. Lots of opportunity to advance within the company. They are always looking to help with personal development.

    Cons

    Nothing I can think of!

I have been working at Achievers full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Amazing co-workers, awesome culture. If you are looking for boosting your experience in any direction, there is no limit: you will have full support from your manager.

    Cons

The compensation is always a controversial aspect in Achievers. It can be way better than current situation, there are lots of places ready to pay more (I myself received two 30% higher offers from recruiters in the past 6 months, even though I was not looking for a job). Free drinks and bagel in the morning is some thing nowadays every mid-level tech company offers to it’s employees.
By time goes, we only see the benefits are going to vanish. Stock options are gone, discount on public transportation is no longer here, does the parent company only care about making benefit (while they admit we are even ahead of the plans)?!

    Advice to Management

It’s not fair to look at “average market salary”. While you expect the best outcome (and we deliver this expectation even higher), you need to consider higher margin of market. It does not create a promising picture when you remove a benefit, and after a while return part of it and show off about it. Expanding team is great (probably more for the company owners, to grow their investment), but current people should feel happy first.

I have been working at Achievers full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Amazing culture. Great employee engagement, recognition and support.
Company is growing really quickly, so it's an exciting place to work
    Employees are very smart

    Cons

Some processes need upgrading, but the company is aware of this and changes are in the pipeline. Dealing with the parent company can be cumbersome

    Advice to Management

    Keep it fun and positive!!

I have been working at Achievers full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Extremely bright and talented people working at achievers. The product is very interesting and the culture is great. The best work life balance you can find in a tech company!

    Cons

Uncertainty with leadership and management decisions. Frequent change in leadership, problems employee retention and hiring. Compensation needs work considering the market.

    Advice to Management

Focus on keeping talent from leaving the company, and attracting new talent to the company. People won't stay because you give them bad swag and free drinks once a week. Pay people a competitive wage, and fix your management strategies and information dissemination from leadership to employee.

I worked at Achievers full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

-People and culture are unlike any other place I've worked at
-Lots of professional experience to be picked up working in the Dev/IT department
    -Good "out of school" job
-Freebies are standard in the software industry (breakfast, snacks, drinks)

    Cons

-Salaries are MUCH lower than anywhere else
-Management at times (directors included) are reactive, not proactive and will have remarks and comments that are just flat out unprofessional
-Team wasn't scaled properly, so work can be stressful and up to your neck
-They've been scaling back on the culture, it was a lot different when I started vs. when I left

    Advice to Management

Be more scalable, pay your team more; we do more work to make you look good

I have been working at Achievers full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Great place to get to know people
    - Fun culture
    - Nice office
    - Great location

    Cons

    - Everything that is professional-related. Managers and supervisors are nominated wihtout any skills or education to back them up, just because they've been in the department longer than the rest of the people.
    - Serious lack of professionalism from management (always at Starbucks, always watching YouTube or Netflix, NEVER WORK, speak badly about employees, and so on)
    - Feedback from employees is absolutely IGNORED, even when it comes from a big group of people.
    - Management shields itself saying that it is Blackhawk's fault, but it is their own and they do not even own to it.
    - Everybody is either constantly leaving or constantly being promoted. That is weird.
    - No CEO for months.

    Advice to Management

You should consider the skills and past experience of all the employees for any promotion, not just for the job interview. And ABOVE ALL listen to the feedback of your employees, instead of ignoring it and keep going, as if you are in the right and we are not.
