I worked at Achievers full-time (More than 3 years)
Pros
-People and culture are unlike any other place I've worked at
-Lots of professional experience to be picked up working in the Dev/IT department
-Good "out of school" job
-Freebies are standard in the software industry (breakfast, snacks, drinks)
Cons
-Salaries are MUCH lower than anywhere else
-Management at times (directors included) are reactive, not proactive and will have remarks and comments that are just flat out unprofessional
-Team wasn't scaled properly, so work can be stressful and up to your neck
-They've been scaling back on the culture, it was a lot different when I started vs. when I left
Advice to Management
Be more scalable, pay your team more; we do more work to make you look good

I have been working at Achievers full-time (More than a year)
Pros
- Great place to get to know people
- Fun culture
- Nice office
- Great location
Cons
- Everything that is professional-related. Managers and supervisors are nominated wihtout any skills or education to back them up, just because they've been in the department longer than the rest of the people.
- Serious lack of professionalism from management (always at Starbucks, always watching YouTube or Netflix, NEVER WORK, speak badly about employees, and so on)
- Feedback from employees is absolutely IGNORED, even when it comes from a big group of people.
- Management shields itself saying that it is Blackhawk's fault, but it is their own and they do not even own to it.
- Everybody is either constantly leaving or constantly being promoted. That is weird.
- No CEO for months.
Advice to Management
You should consider the skills and past experience of all the employees for any promotion, not just for the job interview. And ABOVE ALL listen to the feedback of your employees, instead of ignoring it and keep going, as if you are in the right and we are not.

Advice to Management
Invest more into training people leads. Pay employees at least the industry standard. Put my trust into your employees, allowing them to have move autonomy will go a long way.

I have been working at Achievers full-time (Less than a year)
Pros
Senior management is open to concerns and criticisms
I have a lot of confidence in middle management
Other employees are great to work with, positive environment
Low stress atmosphere
Small perks like breakfast items and occasional office parties
Cons
Office space is open but some areas are not as nice
Frequent upper level changes are a source of unease
See many people leaving for other opportunities (which is normal) with not enough intake to replace them
Have heard other cons from other departments
Advice to Management
Always be thinking about what makes Achievers great, and what made Achievers great before. Try to hold on to 'the soul of a startup'
