About Dialist

Dialist is a platform provider of modern marketplace and communication tools in the luxury watch industry. We are hiring a mobile engineer to lead development on our Private Exchange, the product is a mobile-first application built around trust, high-quality user experience and design. We’re focused on creating a seamless platform for buyers and sellers in a high-value category where product quality, performance, and attention to detail matter.

We’re a small, fast-moving team building products for both mobile and web with a strong focus on shipping polished experiences and improving quickly through iteration.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Mobile Engineer to help build and improve the Private Exchange mobile app across iOS and Android.

You’ll work closely with product, design, and back-end teams to develop new features, improve app performance, and help maintain a smooth, reliable user experience. This role is ideal for someone who has experience shipping production mobile apps and enjoys working in a collaborative startup environment.

What You’ll Work On

● Build and maintain features for the Dialist mobile application

● Collaborate with design and product teams to implement polished user experiences

● Improve app performance, reliability, and responsiveness

● Work within authentication, messaging, real-time and standard marketplace flows

● Help manage app releases and App Store / Play Store submissions

● Debug issues across iOS and Android devices

● Contribute to architecture and technical decision-making as the product evolves

● Write clean, maintainable, and well-structured code

What We’re Looking For

● Experience building and shipping React Native / Expo applications

● Strong understanding of mobile UI/UX fundamentals

● Experience working with APIs and real-time data

● Familiarity with app deployment workflows for iOS and Android

● Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment

● Good communication and collaboration skills

● Strong attention to detail and product quality

● Product ownership and accountability

Requirements

● Experience with Expo and modern React Native tooling

● Strong typescript experience

● Strong understanding of mobile navigation patterns (Stack, tabs, etc.) Including file based routing / expo-router

● Experience with real time messaging and marketplace-style applications and their flows

● Understanding and consideration to performance & optimization strategies, especially data/image heavy applications.

● Strong experience with TanStack Query features, including cache strategies, mutations, optimistic updates, infinite queries, lifecycle management.

● Understanding of animations and gesture-based interactions

● Production exposure to iOS and Android development with React Native / Expo

● Interest in product design and user experience
