POSITION TITLE: Content Marketing Manager
EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Full Time
HOURS OF WORK: Monday – Friday (9:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
COMPENSATION: $80,000 – $90,000 based on experience
REPORTS TO: VP Marketing & Operations
Direct Reports: Content creators, graphic designer, videographer/editor
No agencies or fractional marketing consultants. This is a full-time, permanent, in-house position.
JOB SUMMARY
The Content Manager leads content planning and creative production for Bios Wellness Clinics. The role owns the content calendar, produces scripts and creative briefs, manages the review and approval process, and leads a team of content creators, videographers, and designers.
This is a production and people-leadership role. The Content Manager plans and directs the work, sets creative standards, and ensures every asset meets brand, clinical, and regulatory requirements before publication. Reporting to the VP Marketing, the Content Manager translates clinical expertise into patient-facing content that supports brand awareness, patient education, and consultation volume.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Content Planning
- Own and maintain the content calendar across all social channels, and additional channels as assigned, planned monthly and confirmed weekly.
- Lead weekly planning sessions and daily check-ins to assign and track work across the team.
- Align the content schedule with clinic operations, including device launches, practitioner availability, seasonal demand, and events.
- Maintain a content bank sufficient to absorb schedule disruptions without gaps in publishing.
- Track every asset from brief through script, production, review, approval, and publication in Monday.com, with an assigned owner and due date at each stage. .
Scripting and Creative Direction
- Write video scripts, hooks, voiceovers, and captions as the team's primary writer.
- Translate clinical information from injectors, nurse practitioners, and physicians into accurate patient-facing language.
- Produce creative briefs and shot lists in advance of every production day so the team can execute without further direction.
- Develop patient-education content that addresses common questions and consultation objections.
- Establish repeatable content formats and series that scale across channels.
Production Planning and Oversight
- Plan production schedules and coordinate the resources each shoot requires, including practitioner time, patient participation, room availability, and consent documentation.
- Assign production work to the team and hold owners accountable to agreed deadlines.
- Establish and enforce photography and video capture standards so results are documented consistently and comparably.
- Review post-production output for edit quality and adherence to brief.
- Maintain the digital asset library, naming conventions, and associated consent records.
Review and Approval
- Act as the final editorial approval point for all published content, assessing accuracy, clarity, brand voice, and regulatory compliance.
- Confirm that clinical claims are supported by evidence and reviewed by the responsible practitioner prior to publication.
- Ensure all content complies with the CPSBC Advertising and Communication with the Public practice standard, applicable BCCNM and CDSBC requirements, Health Canada advertising requirements, and the Canadian Code of Advertising Standards. Training is provided.
- Administer the patient consent process for photography and video, including consent capture, patient review of final assets, and withdrawal of consent.
- Maintain a documented content approval checklist and train the team on its application.
- Escalate ambiguous compliance questions to the VP Marketing and the responsible practitioner before publication.
Team Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop the content team, including hiring, onboarding, goal setting, and performance management.
- Provide creative feedback and set quality standards that improve output over time.
- Maintain style guides, templates, and workflows that enable the team to work independently.
- Manage freelance and contract creators when in-house capacity is exceeded.
- Manage intake of content requests and protect team capacity against unplanned work.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with clinical staff to identify content opportunities from patient questions and consultation feedback.
- Supply the paid advertising team with creative assets built to platform specification and iterate based on performance.
- Coordinate with patient care and front-of-house teams to ensure consistency between marketing content and the patient experience.
- Report to the VP Marketing on content output, engagement, consultation volume attributed to content, and recommended changes to the plan.
All other related and reasonable duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Minimum 5+ years or more in content, editorial, or creative production, including a minimum of 2 years managing a creative team.
- Demonstrated writing ability across both short-form script and long-form editorial formats.
- Experience producing content within a regulated industry, or a demonstrated ability to work within regulatory frameworks.
- Working knowledge of video production and post-production workflows, sufficient to brief a team, assess output, and manage a shoot schedule.
- Project management discipline and consistent use of a work management platform such as Monday.com, Asana, or Notion.
- Ability to work on-site in a clinical environment, with appropriate discretion and handling of personal information in accordance with PIPA.
Preferred
- Experience in medical aesthetics, dermatology, plastic surgery, or wellness.
- Working knowledge of the CPSBC Advertising and Communication with the Public practice standard.
- Editing proficiency in Premiere Pro, CapCut, or DaVinci Resolve, and design proficiency in Canva or Adobe Creative Suite, or other comparable video editing and creative software.
- Sufficient familiarity with Meta Business Suite and Google Analytics to interpret performance and adjust the plan.
- Post-secondary education in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
