Pros
Job stability/ HOOP pension plan. Some genuine leaders that care (though most have left due to politics/ layoffs).
Cons
-if you aren’t a Physician/scientist or have a medical degree there is no room for advancement. - Salary lower than other similar government agencies. If you apply for a new position and that pay scale is in a higher band and you make significantly less, don't expect to earn more than a 5% salary increase. Annual increases are terrible. - HR is the worst. Everyone on the team is either fired in a short span of time Or if they are still around they are unhappy & gossipy. Discriminatory, majority of times they post a role externally when they’ve already decided to hire internal & waste everyone’s time.
