      Educator Interview

      Aug 13, 2017
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Adelaide
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at lululemon (Adelaide) in May 2017

      Interview

It was a group interview with 12 other people at 7:00am. We all sat on yoga mats in a circle and started off introducing ourselves to the group. They then told us the interview questions would be at random and if we wanted to answer, we would just have to speak up. I found this to be a bad method. It was more a matter of, who could open their mouth the quickest without interrupting someone else in the process. If you couldn't get your word in before someone else, you didn't get to answer the question and they moved on without giving you the chance. I started to talk on one of the questions, and the manager spoke over me and said "okay next question" which was rude, and didn't give me the chance to stand out. The interview/employers were very judgemental. Mentally you could tell who they were going to hire before they had even let you get a word in. They weren't interested whatsoever in who could actually benefit the business, and who would be the best worker. All they cared about was who was the fittest, who owned their own yoga studio, and just stupid materialistic things. I train at the gym 4-5 times a week, but I would say, don't get your hopes up high if you're up against others who are yoga crazy and do yoga 24/7. They're almost always going to get chosen over you. It was by far the worst, and most unprofessional job interview i have ever been to. They told us they would let us know after a week, and that they would think long and hard about who they wanted to choose. I sent an email 30 or so minutes after, thanking them for having me, and i received one back saying they had already chosen 2 people. I ended up being grateful for not being chosen, as i probably wouldn't have accepted the offer anyway. It is not somewhere i would ever want to work, as i soon discovered after finishing the interview.
