I applied online. I interviewed at Zoom Recruitment (Eastern Creek) in Feb 2026
Interview
I applied for a Picker/Packer project role with Zoom Recruitment in Eastern Creek. The pay rate and project structure were appealing, and communication regarding the start date and flexibility requirements was clear.
However, during the appointment it became evident that certain suitability expectations were not fully outlined in the original job advertisement. This made it difficult to assess eligibility beforehand, and I had committed a full day to attend.
I would also suggest that candidates not be asked to arrange or pay for a police check until after the initial interview or screening confirms they are suitable for the role. Completing compliance requirements prior to confirming suitability can create unnecessary expense and inconvenience.
Overall, the opportunity itself appears well structured, but clearer upfront screening and sequencing of compliance steps would improve the candidate experience.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Zoom Recruitment (South Perth) in Nov 2025
Interview
Was not asked about my customer service experience yet the job is for Warehouse-customer services role. I was accused of writing job descriptions in my resume, Account manager preferred to use a different system for referee checks which created more work for the referees, The account manager has a nasty and rough tone to her approach and voice over the phone and face to face interview. She comes across a non-believer, and I am not sure if she has worked with Kiwis or I don't think she knows a lot about the culture of Kiwis as she is very judgemental.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The account manager wanted to know about my previous job and what did it involve. She also informed me that I should add more than 2 referees to my resume. To also shorten my resume because 8 pages is too long.
