I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Yelp (Chicago, IL) in Nov 2018
Interview
There is an initial phone interview/screening. The in-person or virtual interview with a sales manager is then scheduled within two weeks. The in-person interview isn't that difficult but they are mainly looking for coachability, personality, and confidence but not cockiness. Coachability and ability to learn or repivot from feedback are key here. There will be a role-playing portion. They'll usually ask you to sell your favorite item passion or something. They always provide feedback and want to see you implement it. It demonstrates coachability which is something you will be given ALOT of in the role! good luck

The interview process was pleasant from start to finish. It included a recruiter phone screen, a video call with the sales manager, a role play exercise, and the opportunity to implement the manager’s feedback.

Question 1
One question they asked during my interview was what specifically about the role made me feel it was a strong fit for my background and experience.
The interview process with Yelp was a very organized experience. From the first email after I put in my application, to the offer extension call, I always felt well informed and included.
It was a one time interview over video call with a pre call before. One on one with a training manager. Pretty simple not too hard at all. Lasted 30 minutes with questions and role plays.
