I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Victoria's Secret (Portland, OR) in Jan 2015
Interview
Applied in store, stood inside the store waiting for over 15 minutes for someone to take my application. Everyone kept passing me along to another employee till finally someone took a quick glance at my application then said come back in 2 days for a group interview. There was 5 girls in the interview and we all had a chance to jump in and answer questions the interviewer was asking. The interviewer then said she would contact us via email or mail in regards to the position. After 7 days I received a fancy postcard that said I did not get the job....nice.
Hiring managers prioritize your personality, availability, and customer service mindset, looking for candidates who are friendly, adaptable, reliable, and comfortable engaging with customers, rather than focusing heavily on prior experience or technical skills.
Very easy, first a phone call then meeting in person. Took a while to be seen in person even after the scheduled meeting time, they had me just kind of stand in a corner for a while waiting for someone to become available.
