I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Victoria's Secret (Wilmington, NC) in May 2012
Interview
I only had one interview with VS and it was a group interview. Asked your typical questions such as "Tell me about yourself," and questions about what a VS bra means to you. Very easy interview and I was hired. The process took a couple weeks without any response from the manager but I assume that's because she was doing the background and reference checks. I called back after about 2 weeks and the manager had said that On-Boarding was the next Wednesday.

Question 1
They really weren't difficult or unexpected at all. Typical retail questions.
Hiring managers prioritize your personality, availability, and customer service mindset, looking for candidates who are friendly, adaptable, reliable, and comfortable engaging with customers, rather than focusing heavily on prior experience or technical skills.
Very easy, first a phone call then meeting in person. Took a while to be seen in person even after the scheduled meeting time, they had me just kind of stand in a corner for a while waiting for someone to become available.
