I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Vanguard (Valley Forge, PA) in Jun 2012
Interview
Applied via the website. It obviously was worded correctly because it got hits on their automated response. I then was contacted by someone from HR to schedule a phone screen/interview. That phone interview lasted around a half and hour. They then asked me if I was available to come in a week later for an interview. The interview consisted of a 1 on 1 and then proceeded by a case study. It was exactly as you'd expect. Behavioral questions for the 1 on 1. The case study was just a matter of issue spotting.
Seamless process with very kind people. They made it easy to talk about my experience prior and answered all of my questions honestly. They went by fairly quickly but it felt more like a conversation than an interview.

I applied online. I interviewed at Vanguard (Malvern, PA)
Interview
Got a phone interview that lasted 20 minutes asking about your background and why you are interested in the company. Then they schedule for another with the hiring manager virtually.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Vanguard in Apr 2026
Interview
There are 2 rounds for interviews, one was over the phone and the other is on Microsoft Teams. The first interview was a lot of asking why I wanted to work for Vanguard, my experience, etc. I have not done the second interview yet.
