This was easily the worst interview experience I have ever had with a company. From the get go communication was completely non-existent. I was told by the recruiter that the hiring manager would reach out to me to give me the details of the first round which was set to be a case study and I would have a few days to complete this. Later on this changed to an in person case study that would have an excel test component and a presentation. I followed up multiple times with the recruiter to get the case study to have ample time to prepare and got no response. On the day of the interview, I still had not received the case so mention this to the hiring manager and just ask if we should reschedule, just to find out that the first round is not a case study but its actually an exam and the hiring manager was going to watch me on zoom complete the exam in front of her. I got no opportunity to ask any questions about the company or the opportunity itself. I was completely frazzled and thrown off guard, and to make matters worse the hiring manager/ my now invigilator would also interject comments such as , “are you sure you want to do it that way?" and questioning my logic / reasoning further throwing me off my guard. As much as I am interviewing for a role, I am also interviewing my prospective employer. I did not make it to a second round, but that was actually a relief, as I had absolutely no interest in continuing the process with Touch Bistro, it was pretty mutually a bad fit.
