The interview process at The Hartford for their account executive positions is to say the least sub-par, and with that I'm being very generous. I first applied and got reached out by a recruiter who interviewed me and the interview went well. Then he sent me over to another recruiter. Had an interview with him went well. I was later told to do a caliper test which I did. After a phone call with the initial recruiter he tells me that this position which by the way was an entry level position required 4 rounds of interviews. Yes you heard that right 4 rounds of interviews and a test for an entry level account exec position. Anyways I had my third interview and after the third interview. Something that I should have taken as a red flag in this interview was the fact that the interviewer straight up told me that he didn't even read my resume. It's pretty demotivating to hear that considering that it takes me at least 2-3 hours of research and practice to prepare for this interview so to hear that the interviewer didn't even bother to glance at my resume for not even 5 minutes really demotivates someone and comes off as unprofessional. They never reached back out to me to tell me if I had the job or not. I even emailed them on one occasion to ask them about the status and nothing. Eventually I ended getting another job offer and after three weeks of hearing nothing from them I sent them a final email withdrawing my application from the process. Don't apply for the Account Exec position their process is overly long and tedious as well as unprofessional.
