I applied through university. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Tata Consultancy Services (Thāne)
Interview
The process took about 2 months time. It was a pool campus and our college was among many other colleges that took part in it. The aptitude test was scheduled in early November 2017. It follows the new pattern of TCS:
1. Email Writing (10 minutes)
2. Quantitative Aptitude (20 questions in 40 minutes)
3. C-Programming MCQs (10 questions in 20 minutes)
4. C-Program coding (1 question in 20 minutes)
While I did fairly well in first 3 sections, I wasn't able to submit the code on time. Still I cleared this round and was moved onto the Interview Round.
The Interview round was postponed due to our exams being held throughout November and mid-December. Finally, interview round was held on 6th of January 2018. I was at the TCS Yantra Park Office in Thane along with 200 other candidates. The process was smooth and interviewers were very friendly and welcoming. It was a panel of 2-3 interviewers and all 3 rounds of Technical, HR and MR was conducted in one go. My interview lasted for about 25 minutes. I was able to impress them with whatever question they posed and finally on 8th January I got my offer letter.

After clearing the TCS National Qualifier Test (NQT), I attended a single interview round that combined technical and HR questions. The interviewer focused on my projects, programming knowledge, and understanding of current technologies. One of the main discussion topics was the difference between traditional software systems and AI-based systems. The interview was conversational, and the interviewer evaluated problem-solving ability, communication skills, and technical understanding. The overall experience was positive and the difficulty level was average.
