There are three interviews after you made it pass the online recruitment.
The first is the phone interview, which I did not pass because I think I angered the interviewer when I told him TELUS could improve upon PR (e.g. Google TELUS blog).
My advice is to be prepared, concise and treat the interview like you're in a face-to-face interview i.e. don't read off of a piece of paper. Don't go beyond the scope of the question (e.g. with what I did). The entire interview should take 15-25 minutes and don't worry if it doesn't sound like the interviewer isn't listening to you because they're just typing up notes on your answers.
Tips from an insider interviewer:
Sound enthusiastic
Don't be too corporate-y since Telus isn't like that
Do your research - they always ask "what do you know about Telus"
When they ask questions don't be afraid to ask for a bit to think about it - it's better to ask for time or clarification than to ramble
Speaking of rambling, only answer the questions given and don't try to go beyond the scope of the question unless they ask
Overall she says the screener phone interview isn't a big deal since the real interview is face to face.
