      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at T-Mobile (West Sacramento, CA) in Jan 2015

      Interview

The interview was challenging but also relaxed. The questions made me think, and I felt like I had to be on point, but not like I was on the spot. I think this is because of the company culture. They were quick to mention that they put an emphasis on work-life balance. The interview lasted about 45 minutes to an hour, and about halfway through the manager and associate and I really clicked. We went through all of the interview questions but also just chatted. We talked about opportunities for growth, advancement, and learning, and I was glad to hear there were other positions to promote into besides sales. The subject of professionalism came up and we talked about how valuable it is to carry yourself as a professional, but also be genuine. The phrase "keepin' it real," was actually used more than once. I wasn't interviewing for a sales position, but I liked that, at least at this store, they valued teamwork when it came to meeting sales metrics, rather than pitting all of the salespeople against each other. I had a second interview which was similar. Both managers I interviewed with had been with the company over ten years and both said they were happy with the company. Overall, I just got the sense that this is a good company for someone like me who is eager to learn and advance, but not so eager to have to change their personality for the job. I accepted the job as soon as they offered it to me and everyone has been very helpful and genuine so far. I guess they really were keepin' it real.

      Interview

I filled out the application online and was called in to interview about two weeks later. The interview was laid back, but the questions were difficult for me. They asked a lot of situation specific questions. Be ready to recount your previous work experience and to think on your feet.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at T-Mobile in Jul 2015

      Interview

I applied online, and I got called for an interview ASAP with the store manager about a week later (no phone screening). I arrived about 10 minutes early, and the interview started right on time. The store manager was very nice, and he explained the position well before he proceeded with the interview (it's basically stocking, setting up displays, and cleaning the store, for those curious). The schedule was about 10-2:30 Mon-Fri, which wouldn't work when I start classes, so we both decided it wouldn't be a good fit. The whole experience was pretty laid back. Despite the lack of an offer, I got a really good vibe, and the manager seemed to like me. He welcomed me to apply for other positions. This would definitely be a good position for someone wanting to work two part time jobs, but it probably wouldn't work for a full-time college student.

      Interview

Applied online and received a quick phone interview/screening two weeks later. On the phone, I was asked standard questions and a little bit about my background. It also gave me a chance to inquire a little more about the position as it is still relatively new to the company. At the end of the call, we set up a time and day to meet in person for a more formal interview. This interview consisted of speaking face-to-face with standard questions such as 'What would you do in [this] situation,' and other basic retail-specific questions. I did ask about the growth potential with this position, but it looks like this is a quite entry-level before becoming a Sales Associate, or someone looking to step down from a managerial position. Afterwards, a background check is required before proceeding.

Tell me about a time when you had to bend/break policy in order to accomplish a job/task.
