I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at State Farm (Washington, DC) in Mar 2013
Interview
Began by applying online. I was then sent two assessment test links to complete. Once completed, I was contacted by the head Agent in charge. I came into his agency for an interview, that also consisted of a computer test. I received an email stating that they wanted to conduct a panel interview after the initial interview. The panel interview consisted of STAR format questions and was very brief. Nothing too hard at all. I received a job offer over the phone the next day.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Very typical interview questions. Mostly STAR format questions. The most hard part was taking a timed test that consisted of random math, language, and grammar questions. It was a lot of questions in a VERY short period of time.

Interview
Very Casual, not a tough interview. Everything was fairly straight forward. Talked on the phone with agent then set an interview with him for coffee. Once we discussed things we met in the office.

Depending on the agents that the process varies. One of the most comprehensive process was firstly personality test, then math test, then initial interview with team lead, then second indepth interview, then licensing passing requirement.
