First is a recruiter and then the hiring manager.
In my opinion, the recruiter was asking questions HE had no business asking and should have been left for the hiring manager.
The biggest problem I had is that I specifically selected "Decline to answer" for both Gender and Race (I think they should not be a factor in assessing my skills and abilities), but yet the recruiter specifically asked me my preferred pronoun. From that point on I got a weird vibe from him. I have over 25 years of experience and he choose not forward me to the hiring manager because I wasn't keen on distinguishing my gender?
