The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Starbucks (Austin, TX) in May 2008
Interview
I was already working as a barista, and I was interviewing for a promotion. I sat down with another store manager other than my own that asked me the usual questions. ie: how would you handle a stressful situation? Tell me about about a time that you needed to make a quick decision without consulting a supervisor or manual? They were all very basic question, and if you have any work experience at all, it shouldn't be too difficult.
The interview process was low stress, and I was offered a drink by a barista while waiting for the manager. We spoke about my previous relevant work experience, and how I've handled different situations with customers.
