I applied on LinkedIn and heard about three months later.
We had a phone screening where he went down my entire resume and asked about every single job and how many people I lead at each role.
He then proceeded to tell me that he is interviewing people from New York and San Francisco and that all of them are willing to work for stock options and wanted to know if I would be able to work with a majority of my income being stock options.
After everything I had read, this was an enormous read flag.
I said It isn’t something I would be super interested in but would be open to it to push the conversation along and I never heard another peep.

Interview
The process began with a phone interview with the company's founder Jason Herring. After an hour-long discussion, Jason invited me to drive to Georgetown the next week for an in-person interview.
I accepted.
To prepare for my interview, I used info gleaned from my phone call with Jason to do some deep dive research about Spindle 360 and their clients. There's nothing about him, his background or current staff on the Spindle 360 website.
I found out why.
My research turned up a history of Jason Herring running a swimming pool construction company called Wave Tec in Bryan Texas. After numerous consumer complaints, court orders, a local TV station investigative piece and an F-rating from the Better Business Bureau, Jason moved to Georgetown Texas and re-started his business under a new name, Spectra Light.
That just so happens to be one of the "client" logos featured on Spindle 360's homepage.
I tried to be fair and sent Jason an email about all this, asking if this was true and accurate info. He never responded. I didn't go to the in-person interview.
So beware this guy and company. You can Google all that I've described here and find it for yourself.
No job or salary is worth risking your integrity. Only work at a place and for people you can be proud of.
Maybe they should be called Swindle 360.
