Non-traditional. They ask you to tell your life story and teach them how to do something - anything to see if you're any good at talking someone through a process they've never done before. They also arrange a conversation with a squad lead so that management can get an idea of what that person is like under pressure.

I applied online. There was a small exercise as part of the application, where you need to write a program to analyze a business problem and solve a few SQL questions. This is not difficult.
In 2 weeks I received an interview invitation. First round is "life story", which is like a behavioral interview. General behavioral questions would be expected. The interviewer was very nice and whole process was very conversational.
And then I received the second interview invitation in a week. This round was with 2 data scientists from Shopify. The interview contains two parts, first was to walk through a data science project I did solely by myself, and the second part was an analytical problem exercise.
I received offer about 2 weeks after the second interview,

2. The analytical problem was more like a business consulting case, where they give you a scenario, and ask you how you would address it. It would be good to always keep in mind of the business goal, think about what matrix to use, etc.
