      Principal Program Manager Interview

      Nov 4, 2015
      Anonymous interview candidate
      San Francisco, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 months. I interviewed at Salesforce (San Francisco, CA) in Jun 2015

      Interview

Just to state that no offer has been made to date but the process has been horrific and the recruiting and hiring management lack any professional respect for people who apply for positions within the company. The belief that you are lucky to even be asked to come in to interview for us is dripping from both the recruiter and the hiring management. The process I have gone through, to date, is as follows: Was asked to apply for an open requisition by a current employee. I was then contacted by the a recruiter who scheduled time to come in for an interview. The Interview went great and I was told that feedback would happen within a week. That didn't happen! I had to follow up with the recruiter who said all went great but they were still going through their interview process, which is understandable. After a month of waiting ( now 2 months since the initial request for me to apply for the position), corresponded with recruiter who then got aggressive as to if I was going to just wait for them to get through their process or if if she should just tell the hiring manager that I was not going to wait. Another month went by (now 3 months after the initial request for me to apply for the position) and was contacted again by the recruiter who said they were STILL wrapping up their process and that she would be back in touch with me. It is now 4.5 months after the interview and they have no common courtesy to even communicate what the status of the position, regardless if I got it or not. The recruiting department and hiring management lacks the professionalism to treat people with common courtesy and respect that people are not just waiting around in hopes that you get a job with Saleforce. There is this belief that you want a job with them more than they respect you as a professional. I would recommend you not going through the process with the company. Although they are growing, there are some amazing people, and the product is great. The way that they treat people in the process is horrible and even if they offered me the job at this point I would turn it down!
