    Plusieurs entretiens téléphoniques/ par google hangout. Chaque entretien a duré un peu plus de 30 minutes. La plupart des questions étaient à propos de mes motivations pour l'industrie, pour le poste et par rapport à mes expériences propres. C'est apprécié si l'on pose des questions à propos de l'entreprise. Tout s'est déroulé en anglais et les interviewers étaient très professionnels et gentils.

    Le processus est relativement standard pour ce type de poste avec plusieurs interviews à différents niveaux hiérarchiques. La spécificité réside dans un panel interview ou l'on m'a demandé de travailler sur un cas fictif d'entreprise et de présenter mon pitch à la direction générale de cette entreprise fictive. L'idée est d'évaluer le candidat en situation réelle et voir ses aptitudes à présenter l'offre dans le contexte client, répondre aux objection, mettre en avant les différentiateurs avec la concurrence etc. Lors de ce panel j'avais 5 personnes qui assistaient et qui ont pris l'exercice très au sérieux.

    J’ai passe 3 entretiens en total, qui etaient de qualité, le premier était avec 2 personnes avec qui j’ai pu échanger convivialement puis le deuxiéme avec la personne avec qui je vais travailler et enfin le dernier entretien pour négocier le salaire qui était plutot tendu, en résumé c’etait une bonne experience qui a duré un mois.

    Par la suite j'ai passé plusieurs étapes avec différentes personnes de Commerce Cloud, avec un très bon suivi de la part de Markus.

    General feeling : HR people that do not seem to be connected to the business managers and that place candidates in as most tracks as possible in order to maximize their chance to place them in a team.

    This is resulting into multiple (multiple) interviews around multiple team, meeting with hiring managers that don't really know their need and why they are talking to you. Finally this is ending by managers telling you that it's a go for you after having validated their most difficult interview , confirmed by HR telling that you should expect an offer within a week,...to be called 3 days after to tell that you are finally out of the process after 4 months of discussions.

    Companies recruitment processes are for companies to evaluate candidates but also for candidates to evaluate companies. Salesforce should clearly think about it's recruitment methods, or maybe this is totally conscious....

    Interview

    The process started in July, by a set of interviews with recruitment and local management. It was followed by a panel presentation of one hour. I was offered a "buddy" (ie. a Salesforce employee) to help me prepare for this, and a set of links to review all the material available on the web. It is important to prepare well for this panel, and it was taken very seriously by the Salesforce team (5 people attended my panel). It requires a time investment to prepare for this panel, but it is an interesting process as it forces you to investigate more deeply the Salesforce offers, and the role play already puts you in a situation where you present them to a customer. My buddy was very helpful. During the presentation itself, be prepared to handle some objections, as the audience will "test" how you react. After the panel, I was also requested to provide customer references, which were called by the Salesforce team. So overall, I would say it was a thorough but fair recruitment process.

    Cela me convenait très bien, c'était assez rapide (hormis les congés qui s'y intercallaient) et en même temps ca s'est déroulé en toute clareté.
