      Interview

The interview process was structured, transparent, and genuinely engaging. Each stage highlighted thoughtful questions, collaborative problem-solving, and a clear vision for the role, leaving me impressed, energized, and confident in the team’s culture and long-term direction.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

They asked me to walk through how I would design a scalable, end-to-end solution for a complex business problem. The question focused on clarifying requirements, evaluating architectural options, and demonstrating structured, customer-centric decision making.

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Salesforce (Düsseldorf) in Apr 2018

      Interview

Generally the overall experience with the interview process was very positive and the process was pleasant although quite demanding. I went through 4 'official' interview rounds + an extra interview, but the latter felt rather confirmatory. The first was an interview with HR for an initial screening, focusing on past experience, profile, motivation. The second round was with two managers from the same area, focusing more on "consulting" type of questions and a slightly deeper skills screening. The third was with someone that has the same role that I applied for focusing a bit more on product knowledge, technical understanding etc. Then the final 'official' stage was the panel interview, that I had to prepare a presentation on a case related to previous relevant experience, and was challenged by all panel members. Lastly, I had an additional round with one of the senior management members before I finally received my offer. The process was truly exciting and I would always suggest to prepare properly for each stage and study as much as possible. Salesforce provides a lot of material online on their career portal as well as 3rd party sites (e.g. Glassdoor :)). In addition, everyone involved in the process was pleasant and helpful, and I was given immediate (often good and constructive) feedback almost immediately at every stage.

      Interview

Went through 3 rounds of interviews over the course of 2 months. After being informed the team would love to have me join and that I would be a great fit, the job offer could not be given until they went through approvals. After 2 weeks, I finally followed up to be told by the recruiter that the job was now paused and not hiring. Unfortunately, the outcome was quite disappointing and unprofessional
