      Business Development Associate Interview

      Mar 27, 2018
      Anonymous employee
      Sydney
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Salesforce (Sydney) in Feb 2018

      Interview

I was referred by my friend to apply for the role. When I was finally ready to submit my application, the job posting had disappeared. However, I sent an e-mail to the recruiter in charge and was contacted the next day. I was then invited to a group assessment where we had to do a case study and draft a prospecting e-mail. We were also given the opportunity to ask the hiring managers about their experience at Salesforce. The second stage of the process is where you'll have a 1-hour interview with the hiring managers e.g. SDR Manager and BDA Team Manager. The interview can be quite intense - good mixture between technical and behavioural questions. Preparation for this stage is extremely important as it shows that you're interested and that you're able to carry yourself well. Final stage is a peer interview with existing and former BDAs. It is a 30-minute interview for you to hear from them about their experience and also for them to understand you better. The offer came the very next day! It was overall an efficient process. However, I had to wait for about 1 month for the contract to come through as they were experiencing difficulties with the transitioning of their internal systems. Nonetheless, the recruiter in charge, Cassie was extremely helpful and responsive throughout this period. Kudos to her and the rest of the team!

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Salesforce

      Interview

Ridiculously long final interview for an entry level role. I was asked to take a day off of my annual leave for a 6 hour long assessment day. Required long hours of preparation after my working hours and I was asked to give a presentation on the day. I would not recommend employers dragging through candidates for this long and asking them to use their annual leave if the employers is not even sure about them at this stage. I found out that they were interviewing an other canditate for the same role and they were never meant to hire both us, opposed to what they said in the beginning. Recruiter never contacted me on her own about the outcome of the assessment day. I had to email her two weeks late to find out I did not get the offer.

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Salesforce (Dublin, Dublin) in Dec 2022

      Interview

I was approached for the bda role by a recruiter from Salesforce. I was pleasantly surprised by the research that was done prior to our conversation by the recruiter. The process was quite long but went very smooth and there were no unnecessary steps or questions.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

The questions were mostly about the company, me and my prior experience in sales.
