I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Salesforce in May 2016
Interview
The process was fairly straight forward and efficient. I had two calls with a highly skilled and professional recruiter, two phone calls with the Regional VP I would report to, an in-person interview and panel presentation, followed by a final phone call with an Area VP and then the offer. The whole process took about three weeks.
The entire process felt very personal and like they were trying to get an understanding of who I am as a person, not just numbers I have achieved and the method by which I approach sales. There certainly is a component of how I go about my job, but finding a cultural fit seemed of utmost importance. The conversations were all laid back and engaging, rather than a barrage of difficult questions aimed to put a candidate in an uncomfortable and defensive position.

Other Account Executive interview reviews for Salesforce
Recruiter missed multiple interviews only to tell me they have no positions only.
6 months later I receive an interview invite with pay $20k lower than originally discussed
Manager arrives late to the interview then cuts the time early. Company seems disorganized and difficult to take seriously as a so called leader in SaaS.

Apply via Workday, initial recruiter screening via phone call, 1:1 manager interview and introduction, then panel presentation with role play. You'll need to build and present a deck in the final stages.

Question 1
Walk me through a deal example and how you won the opportunity.
pretty easy interview. Had to do a case. It felt like it was just a formality and they put me up to it to fit into their standard processes. Not the best experience but it is what it is
