The interview process consisted of five stages, including a design challenge. For the design challenge, I was tasked with identifying problems in the current design, describing and prioritizing them, and offering a solution for the highest priority issue. The company expected this task to take up to three hours. However, I worked beyond this time frame, and the product manager was not satisfied with my work because I didn't solve all the problems and did less work than expected. This was especially frustrating since the design challenge was unpaid.
Additionally, it felt unusual that during the first interview, many team members were present, and every interview was recorded, which increased the stress of the process. On the positive side, the talent acquisition manager provided a list of questions that would be asked during the interview, allowing me to prepare somewhat in advance.
Overall, I'm grateful for the interview experience, but it was time-consuming, and ultimately, I did not receive an offer.
