I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at PCL Construction (Edmonton, AB) in Sep 2012
Interview
You submit your resume on their website, lots of legal stuff to agree to. One of the questions before you submit is your salary expectation. When HR calls I guess they have not looked at what your answer is because you will be asked again. Will sit down with HR, the IT Manager and one other employee to go over your work history. If you talk about salary they do not seem to be competitive.

Video interview
You can retake and you can start when you are ready. A couple of chances to retake for each question and usually general questions about you your strength and weakness.
The process consisted of 1 video interview, then 1 hiring manager and HR interview. Easy behavioral questions were asked, and some questions about programming experience. Nothing deeply technical, they hire based on vibes mostly at this level.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at PCL Construction (Edmonton, AB) in Apr 2025
Interview
Had a phone call interview via Teams. Just to get the interview I had to ask for internal referral as well as directly approach HR. Phone call had generic questions about why do you wanna work for PCL. Salary Expectations, weakness and strengths etc. Just read about the company and practice HR questions and you're good to go. After 2 weeks tried connecting with the HR, got told that even though my profile was great they had to choose from a big pool of candidates and planned to not move forward with my application.
