I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Oracle in Apr 2026
Interview
The interview process is long and repetitive, and consists solely of behavioural questions. It makes no sense to have an interview loop consisting of 5 interviewers asking the same type questions. It doesn’t assess a candidate’s technical ability or program sense. My interview experience was poor as the recruiter and each person on the loop had a different understanding of what the role was, as well as differing opinions on the importance of certain responsibilities. In all my time interviewing as a candidate, I’ve never been asked so many times to define the role and provide my understanding of what the role entails. Surely that’s the role of the hiring manager and interviewer. If you don’t know, then how am I supposed to know. After going through the entire loop I was not offered the position, not surprising. For the most part the interviewers were friendly, although none had been with the company for more than 18 months, one interviewer was 6 weeks in. Oracle need to align on what the job is before conducting interviews, it’s not the candidates job to do that for you.

Application
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Oracle (Seattle, WA) in Aug 2023
Interview
Recruiter screening went ok but recruiter asked the most inappropriate question. What is your level in the previous or last job you were so I can match the pay scale here in Oracle. That turned me off when such things happen with Oracle.

Question 1
Can you tell me your level in last job so Incan match the salary bands and we don’t go too much overboard?
