    Pros

nice to be part of a big company. lots of opportunities. you get to work with smart people for the most part

Quite a bit of bureaucracy. that comes with being part of a big company. Sometimes hard to find the right person who does the right job

    Advice to Management

be my linebacker. make it easier for me to do my job. Remember what it feels like to be me and keep fighting to do the right thing

no career growth; no bonus; when there are layoffs, they cut it to the bones

    Advice to Management

I worked at Oracle full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Was a good place to work up-until major cost cutting measures for the Oracle Marketing Cloud in June of 2017.

    Cons

Customer Success for the Oracle Marketing Cloud is a mess. They have gone through a cost-cutting re-org. and their customers are definitely the losers. A great opportunity for Salesforce, Adobe and Marketo to take away some business.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of the renewal rep. team. They have no clue as to what they are doing and are frustrating customers and the CSMs by owning the customer renewals. Also return to individual-based compensation. There is no ownership with the new organization-based comp. plan. The CSMs don't care if they lose accounts.

    Pros

the opportunity to work from home

    Cons

Poor leadership, no raises across the board unless you get an offer from a competitor.

    Advice to Management

recognize the loyalty, talent and experience of your existing employees and pay them what they're worth

    I worked at Oracle full-time

    Pros

Working remotely provided a great deal of autonomy. Management was invested in each employee. Great environment to learn. Benefits were good.

    Cons

As with any really large company you are simply a number. The product itself was 7 years behind its competitors.

    Advice to Management

Attempt to keep talent internal instead of cutting them loose. Compensate them well enough when they are existing employees. Often people have to leave and then come back to get the better pay or position. Recognize what you have.
