I applied to multiple posted positions at three different Nordstrom locations in my area on the Nordstrom Careers website. About a week later, I received a phone call from someone in HR at the Escondido location regarding my application to work in the Special Occasion/Dresses department. She conducted a 15-20 minute phone screen interview, asking general questions regarding my work experience, reasons for applying to the job, etc. She then set up a date and time (a few days later) for me to come into the store for a 1-on-1 interview. At that interview, she asked many of the same questions she had asked on the phone and took detailed notes while I answered them. She also asked additional questions including how I would respond to several hypothetical workplace scenarios. She told me she would call me in the next couple of days with a decision. She called me the day after the interview took place and offered me the job.
