Advice to Management
I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Nordstrom (Vancouver, BC) in February-2018.
Applied on the online Nordstrom job website. Took about 2-3 months for a response, they called back and asked to set up a video chat interview (because I'm currently studying abroad). They emailed me an assignment, had to talk about two trends for both men and women and had to create a virtual Pinterest board of a 'fashion pull' (if I was doing an in-person interview I would have to do it in-store). Set up the interview for the following week after. They said they would get back to me by the end of the week but they didn't. Ended up following up with the hiring manager and she sent me an email that they sent it the final pull's to HQ for them to decide. Didn't get end up getting the internship but it was a great (yet stressful) experience.
Come to our hiring events! They're being held at your local Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack stores October 19, 11 a.m.-6 p.m.
Proud to announce that Blake Nordstrom was named one of Glassdoor’s Top CEOs!
When Glassdoor asked how our recruiting efforts reflect our industry, he noted, "People have choices [of] where to shop. There’s an even higher bar when you decide where you’re going to work. You are taking your character, your reputation and your integrity and saying, “I want to go work with that company and those people.” So at the end of the day, we want people to feel proud of the team and the company they’re associated with."
