It was an interesting role I felt well-suited for, but alas, relevant experience and qualifications matter less than the vibes of people conducting the interviews. The phone screen was just fine, and the recruiter was encouraging and asked the right questions. The problems came at the next phase.
It took an unusually long time to schedule the second round (about 10 days). When it finally came, the interviewers were late and could not have been less interested in anything I had to say. It was about an hour of oddly negative questions about managing conflict and responses to poorly received work.
In the end, I was simply ghosted.

Question 1
Describe a time you had to manage conflict within a team.
Multiple rounds including an assessment. Hiring manager seemed very nitpicky about certain aspects of the job. The main issue was communication. This company strung me along, stalling for a month with no communication but promise of updates. Only to send a generic rejection. Then they reach out again with yet another interview (not clarified exactly what it was for) before sending yet another generic, impersonal rejection.
Overall, disorganized and wasted my time.
Warning to other interviewees because I saw similar reviews to my experience - after a couple of interviews I received a ‘contingent offer’ and benefits info, but that was followed by several months of occasional vague updates about contract delays before I lost hope. Also, the ‘product manager’ title didn’t quite match the role description - felt more like a consultant role.
