I applied for the position and within a few days I was invited in the assessment center in Dublin to do a role playing sales pitch and then an interview. The recruiter sent me a few documents on how to prepare for the sales pitch (how to start it off, what to ask etc) and also told me to prepare a few slideshows for the selected product. When I did the sales pitch the interviewer told me the slideshows weren’t even necessary, and the information on how to prepare for the sales pitch had nothing to do with how it actually went, this resulted in me being very unprepared. I informed the recruiter regarding that and she said that the interviewers can change things up how they like , and it’s not in her hands. I then had a follow up interview with another manager which was more of compliance interview (motivation to join Microsoft etc.) I then had some time to ask the manager a few questions. Lots of my questions were answered in an uncertain tone and never got a straight answer, as if the manager didn’t know or wasnt sure. The questions that I asked where mostly how performance is assessed, how goals are set , if there is training provided, what opportunities for career development are there. Most of the answers I got where that some teams do it, and that it depends on the team manager etc. No clear and no straight answers. The manager made it clear that there is NO TRAINING PROVIDED, and that there are a lot of knowledge base articles and videos to gather information and that colleagues will help out. I’ve read all the other reviews on here for that position and almost all the reviews are very bad. I felt a lot of uncertainty in there. I find it weird that Microsoft hasn’t responded to any of those reviews on here like other companies do.
I interviewed at Microsoft (South San Francisco, CA)
Interview
Slow and long...tedious process of many rounds. Would not recommend it. Although compensation is higher than average . Not worth the trouble. But the interviewer was nice. Had to go through recruiter though.
I applied online. I interviewed at Microsoft (London, England) in Jan 2022
Interview
It was a long process of five steps
and final demo in front of a group of managers specialists
You can feel that it was really structured.
They pretend to be friendly and relax like a start up

Interview
The interview process was a great experience, the managers were highly interactive. The follow ups were quick and got a confirmation within 2-5 days. Once, I have accepted the position, they did a background check. Standard procedure for many global companies.
