I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at LiveRamp in Feb 2017
Interview
Uploaded my resume and received info to complete a HireVue assessment prior to phone interview. Questions are provided on Glassdoor.
Next round was a phone interview. From reading Glassdoor reviews, it seemed to generally include: a couple brainteasers, background/behavioral, and generic tech-industry questions. So I prepared for those and felt good before the interview.
My interviewee had a CS background, and after about 5-10 minutes in the call, he dove straight into asking me questions about sorting-algorithms, data structures, big O notation, etc. I was instructed to get a paper and pen and solve a sorting question. He even asked me the specific code of a previous project, and followed with "Wouldn't it have made sense to actually code it by doing xyz...?" I was not expecting to have a critic for my project during a phone interview.
My interviewee then spent time talking about my long term career goals, and asked questions as if I were already that role. I was not asked a single question about what I achieved in my internships, or anything about what LiveRamp does.
My interview experience felt very biased with who I spoke to. I was assessed as a software engineer, which for CS majors would be great, but this did not apply to me. I was not assessed for an 'entrance' and 'mentorship' role.
Cool company, but prepare yourself for an unstructured and biased interview depending with who you speak with.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What is the big-O notation? What would it be for bubble sort, merge sort, etc.?
Hi there. I'm sorry you had a negative experience interviewing for our rotational program. It sounds like there could have been a mix up in your application process, as we avoid purely technical questions for the first phone screen and aim for more analytical/strategic thinking questions. If you'd like us to look into this further, please email recruiting@liveramp.com and we'd be happy to see what happened specifically.

Interview
I submitted my resume then did an a video interview where they asked questions like: What is your background?, Why LiveRamp? etc. Then I got an email next day to set up a phone interview with someone from the Project Implementation team. That interview asked me to explain what LiveRamp does, then we did a brainteaser. Then I set up another phone interview and he asked why LiveRamp and why term? Then we did another brainteaser.
As a heads up, if you are not good at talking through brainteasers on the spot you will not get through this. I definitely got a little confused on the second one and thats why I got rejected after the second phone interview.

Question 1
A brainteaser about using a weighing scale to find the heaviest ball among nine balls.

Interview
The first round is an awkward video interview where you record yourself answering 5 questions. There was no person on the other side to interact with. I think this is a recent development, but I was not a fan of this interview method. I think the next step was to have a phone call with a LiveRamp team member, but I was not invited for another interview.
