It takes a long time and is thorough. They require a background check. They often tend to favor internal candidates that you don't realize you are up against. Patience is key as there is opportunity.

The process began with an initial phone interview with the recruiter, followed by two in-person interviews (one with staff and another with management), and a final phone interview with the director of the department. The interview process lasted about a month. The team at Kaiser was very nice. Everyone seemed to really enjoy working there. I left my interviews with the impression that they were looking for candidates that were excited about Kaiser's mission, friendly, and competent.
