1st Technical round was video conferencing due to covid. More questions were asked related to my project. Mainly Spring , Core Java and Database related questions. After an interview I got feedback from Hr within an hour.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Basic Spring questions - IOC , DI . Bean Life cycle . Java 8 features. Interface and abstract class. Exception handling . SQL queries- join and sub query
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at J.P. Morgan (Mumbai) in Apr 2020
Interview
The interview was during lockdown and it was conducted over skype. All the questions were related to the technologies in my resume and three rounds were taken. First one was online coding test then second and third round were taken by interviewers who were project leads,
Very poorly taken interview. Interviewer seemed to be in hurry to wrap up the interview (finished up within 25 mins). And he asked silly Java questions which should be asked to a 2 yr experienced guy (5+ yr exp here). Despite giving most answers correctly, he somehow decided not to recommend for the next round. Hardly any good question asked (except one on Class loaders)
In some interviews you don’t make it, but you leave with positive experience due to good questions asked. But in some you leave with negative experience, because you were asked silly questions, you answered most, but still not recommended due to God knows what reason. This was that later kind of interview. I felt that JPMC should frame Interview panels more carefully. And they shouldn’t put pressure on Interviewers to finish up fast. Bad experience, not trying anymore for JPMC (at least for quite some time)
One question on array of int, and printing them with their values followed by minus or plus symbol, depending upon previous and following int being same or different.
