      Senior Manager Interview

      Jul 8, 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Intuit in Oct 2022

      Interview

This was probably the most bizarre interview. I’ve been a part of. It was a call with the hiring manager, who was off camera the entire time. The questions were not difficult and I was overqualified for the job, but I did not hear back.

      Interview

Submitted an application online and was contacted by HR, this was followed by straightforward HR interview which had been scheduled. Subsequently I was invited to a video interview with hiring manager which was also straightforward

      Senior Manager Interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Intuit

      Interview

Appears to be great company and role but very unreliable interview process…. Recruiter reached out to me proactively for a role. Interviewed for one role and hiring manager asked if I’d be interested in same role under another hiring manager. I said sure. I interview with that (2nd) hiring manager. Feedback from recruiter was very positive (from both) then she surprises me by saying there’s an internal candidate they’re considering and they made an offer before giving me a chance to interview. Ok… that recruiter introduces me to another recruiter for a third identical role…. I go through another (2nd) recruiter and (3rd) hiring manager call. They again provide great feedback and say they want me in for final interview. We discuss timeline and that another candidate was interviewing following week. I am flexible and say ok great I have some personal things planned due to holidays but can align my timing then as well if you’re looking to close role soon and have others interview. Recruiter emphasizes their flexibility and denies that offer, saying it’s unnecessary and he’ll schedule me after the holidays, yet encourages me to get started on a case study presentation in advance. I say great. While I am under the impression my final interview would be in a week or so, I then get an email from recruiting letting me know that they decided to hire the first person they interviewed and withdrew the invite to final interview. After 5 rounds, 3 roles and 3 hiring managers they said “there will be more roles next year to consider me for.” I was surprised at the lack of transparency and candidate fairness in this process. I did not expect a company of this caliber to invite you to interview, only to revoke that offer after interviewing one person. Kudos to the first interviewee for clearly impressing! I am sure they didn’t want to lose them and understand how that aspect works. I guess I just share this as advise if you interview here… just be sure you’re the first to schedule your interview as it’s a first come first serve process.
