      Mid Market Account Manager Interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Intuit (Dallas, TX) in Mar 2024

      Interview

Took three interviews. Final one was a panel with you having to create a slide show of a 30/60/90. They had you do a practice call that a lot of companies call role-play or a mock-call. However, never received a call back. Over a month later or two months. Only to he told that the the “role-play” didn’t go well. You can’t hire someone when you put them on the spot for a one-time role play. However, I wasn’t looking to leave my current company as I have so much freedom and flexibility and make well over $200k a year and truly running a territory as if it’s my own business. Guess what? I failed their role-play too, but they gave me a chance giving my extensive background and personality. I’m considered one of their high performers and so well over 150% yo quota QTR over QTR. Thank you for the time, but the process was unprofessional speaks a lot about leadership and the organizational viewpoint of who they want to hire. Please don’t ask someone to give you their valued time and leave them hanging for months only to be told basically that they weren’t good enough over a silly role-play. Every leader knows role-playing doesn’t being out the candidates talent on the spot. Way past employer who is your direct competitor was a much better experience who showed genuine interest and someone and their time.
