      Visual Design Intern Interview

      Oct 31, 2022
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Intuit in Apr 2018

      Interview

      1. Call with the recruiter 2. Interview with the hiring manager 3. Assigned a take-home design challenge I sent in my design challenge directly to the hiring manager. After one week, I followed up by emailing the hiring manager and never got a response. I reached out to the recruiter a week after that and they said the position had been filled but the hiring manager had recommended me for a different team. Weeks go by in between more rounds of follow-up emails. Finally, the recruiter told me that this other team had to choose between a researcher and a visual designer. They choose a researcher. I was pretty disappointed by the complete lack of follow-up. I understand that as an intern, I'm low on their priority and it's my job to follow up (which I did), but I would hope they would've had the decency and proper etiquette to respond in a timely manner.
