Intuit has an interesting process where they like to set appointments to bring people onsite and then cancel those appointments after that candidate has already begun to put time into a presentation.
I suppose it's standard practice for most companies: phone up a bunch of outside candidates, and jerk them around until the guy you really want (the internal one) accepts the offer.
I at least credit them with cancelling early enough so I didn't have to waste an entire week on the craft demo. (I had a good recruiter). But really, why go through the motions of giving me all that material and then not even let me shoot my shot. Annoying.
