I interviewed at IBM (Montreal, QC)

      Interview

Interview process is a little slow and you don't know up front how many interviews you'll end up having. I enjoyed every interview. Nice people and they seem to know what they're doing

How do you deal with a customer that wants to cancel their subscriptions because they don't see value in it

      Customer Success Manager Interview

      Jun 19, 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Melbourne
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at IBM (Melbourne) in May 2025

      Interview

I was referred for the role by an IBM employee. Rather than a screening call, I was randomly sent an invite for an AI interview asking behavioural questions. A week later I was sent an email by IBM HR (in Taiwan) asking me about my residency status and expected salary, then scheduling an interview with the hiring manager (or so I was told). Was not given any indication of what the agenda of the interview was, and HR wasn't forthcoming either. As it turns out, the interview was with two members of the team rather than the hiring manager. The questions being asked also led me to conclude that they were after someone from a technical sales background which was not aligned with my experience or the role as it was described. Anyway was told I would hear back from them a week after with next steps, but two weeks later, nothing was forthcoming. Ghosted basically. Only after multiple polite emails to HR was I finally sent a generic rejection saying they were moving ahead with other candidates. Lo and behold, a week later the role was readvertised.
