Standard behavioral and technical (e.g. what is a kilowatt-hour). Interviewer was friendly and engaging, and overall a neat experience. Interview was cut short due to technical issues, and did not receive offer.
- Can you describe to me what is a kilowatt-hour?

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Toronto, ON
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Hydro One (Toronto, ON) in Sept 2022
The interview process included a test that was extremely difficult and I don't feel like I was warned about the intensity of some of the questions. I've worked in a similar field for years but still felt unprepared.
- They asked about specific regulations that apply to Hydro One.

I interviewed at Hydro One
The interview had three parts. Some basic behavioral questions, then situational, ended with details about the position. At the end, you were also able to ask questions if needed. Overall interviewers were nice.
- Why do you want to work for Hydro One?

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Toronto, ON
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Hydro One (Toronto, ON) in Apr 2022
Interview was done with 3 interviewer. It was quite simple, starts with behavioral questions and ended with a couple technical questions. Overall, interview was okay. However, the real issue and unprofessionalism starts after I received an email stating that I moved to the next step (Background Check). I did every requirements and completed it. A couple days later, one of the employees called me and mentioned that I am a top candidate and they will give me a written offer once they approved my background check. Then, they asked for a proof of valid work permit since I’m an international student. I wasn’t able to provide them one since my work permit is still being processed by the government of Canada. The original recruiter gave me a call to discuss about this matter, then they ended the call with “I will talk with the team and give you an update”. 3 weeks passed and no update… I have sent a couple follow up emails to see if they have any update, and no reply as well. Exactly, 22 days later, they sent me an automated rejection email that companies usually sent out when candidates does not even go to an interview stage. After being left hanging for almost a month, an email bot reached out to me. :)
- Tell me a time where you had to make a tough decision.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Hydro One (Toronto, ON)
Scheduled an interview, had via online call. Was required to submit a sample response similar to the role requirements. After what seemed like a good interview, and completing a challenge I didn't hear back until I requested a follow up. Obviously I was not selected. Not a positive experience given so little consideration after the high level of effort I placed into completing the document.
- Conduct a response as per the secondary land use request program

I interviewed at Hydro One
It was an averagely good experience. The interviewer was nice and professional and the interview was not that long. There was a lot of focus on past experience and suitability for role.
- Basic interview questions were asked.

Anonymous Interview Candidate
I interviewed at Hydro One
The interview was done virtually and was ok, many questions about governance but light on what the needs were for the company or what the primary day to day task would be for the position. In the end they never contacted me again to even let me know if I didn't get the position. Pretty unprofessional.
- How would you implement a data governance strategy based on different users requirements?

Anonymous Employee
I interviewed at Hydro One
Consisted of 1 interview where they ask behavioral questions and technical questions. Technical questions: Revolve around SQL and basic electric diagrams Behavioral questions: Why Hydro One? Tell me about a time where you had to make a choice in between two options? What was the outcome?
