Great benefits package, dental, chiropractic, etc.
Great benefits and pension for unionized employees. Benefits for management is not as good, specially for new management that won't be able to participate in defined benefit pension plan.

Pretty typical for an internship position. I was an intern and the pay was great. You get stat holidays off and my boss allowed me to take time off if needed.
