I applied through university. I interviewed at Hitachi Vantara (Vellore) in Sep 2016
Interview
1st round aptitude+technical mcq 105 mins 110 ques (+1,-2) technical ques were from dbms,c++,java, hadoop ,cloud. Level of questions were very tough involves lot of luck to clear the 1st round.
Their ppt was like as if they were giving 10 lpa or job is very challenging instead they have very less projects and they have hired lots of freshers which are on the bench(around 200).
2nd round case study based gd (desert situation- prioritize 15 items, nuclear war situation- eliminate 5 people)selected 5 or 6 from 12 in every group.
3rd round was technical interview- project and resume based . unorganized , only 2 people were there for interviewing more than 40 candidates.
4th round - hr.(good speaking skills are tested)
Avoid it if you have better chances , you will end up wasting your time in company with lesser pay and also not developing much skills ,so after 2 years switching to different company is also difficult.
Pretty basic process.
They just did a couple of questions along 3 interviews.
One with a talent recruiter.
Another more technical.
A last one that was behavioral.
The process took around 1 week.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Hitachi Vantara (Chicago, IL) in Nov 2023
Interview
The case study was challenging but fair. Lots of good questions but straightforward. Good rapport with everyone in the room which was nice to see compared to others. I would recommend.
A Phone screening by the recruiter followed by three to five video interviews with prospective bosses and teammates. The level of seniority in interviewers progressed as the interviews went on. Finally, I had a call with the recruiter telling me the results. The team enjoyed, but the company recently went on a hiring freeze.
