I had interviews with the recruiter, the hiring manager, business partners and an in person interview.
The interview team was pleasant and seemed high performing, and the questions were exactly what you'd expect for a PM role. However, after the final interview, I never heard back, even after following up. While the role wasn't a perfect fit, I was dissapointed by the unprofessional and discourteous lack of follow-up.

Application
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Guidewire (Foster City, CA)
Interview
Phone call followed by two onsite sessions. Both sessions had four rounds of back to back interviews but the first one included one-on-one interviews, whereas, the second session had a mix of one-on-one and panels. The interview questions were good. Mostly they were trying to get solutions for their current problems in the company.
Their hiring process is not good at all. The recruiter doesn't respond to any of the emails, and they don't provide you with any alternatives to contact them. I connected with the hiring manager through LinkedIn and she mentioned that they really liked my profile and they are just trying to find the best product/department for me to work on. But after that, she disappeared again and provided no updates. I think it is fine if they don't want to hire certain people but at least have the courtesy to close the case, specially when you have asked the candidate to go through several rounds of an interview.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Guidewire (Bangalore Rural) in Mar 2026
Interview
Process was smooth but dragged for around 60 days.
1. 2 tA calls - very basic questions
2. Round with director of product in dublin.
3. Round with engineering manager
4. Round with lead product manager.
5. Round with MD Guidewire india.
All rounds were somewhat straight forward and the hr was polite to give results the next day, salary negotiations were not smooth.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Asked questions on aws architecture design.
2. How would you drive developer productivity .
3. Questions on past work.
4. Couple of cases which were a mix of engineering and product management
I did an initial screening with a recruiter, an interview with the hiring director, another interview with the hiring director and an engagement manager, another interview with another engagement manager... and then I heard nothing back.
Absolutely nothing.
This is a company that ghosts people.
