      Full Stack Developer Interview

      Apr 10, 2026
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Datawow in Apr 2026

      Interview

I went through three rounds of the process over an entire month. The process takes too long and too much rounds to go through. It feels like a waste of time to apply here. All of my effort seems useless. After applying, HR called me to ask for basic information such as my expected salary and the reason I applied. Then they sent the first-round assignment, which I had 7 days to complete. It was about building a movie ticket reservation website. The assignment included UI design and requirements to implement. I completed it in 2 days and submitted it. In the second round, I was asked technical questions (no LeetCode) about frontend, backend, and basic system design. I also had to design a database with an ER diagram at the end. In the third round, I interviewed with the CEO. It was mostly basic behavioral questions, such as what kind of work I like and don’t like and etc. During the interview, the CEO said I seemed to be a good fit for the role. However, the next day I was rejected without explanation. It’s very confusing.

      Interview

After applying for the job, hr will reach out to you later via email with a coding challenge that involves developing a responsive CRUD web application using Next.js and NestJS, along with writing unit tests. You also have to focus a lot on UX because some of the provided UI designs have minor gaps, requiring you to think from a user’s perspective, for example, adding a "continue as guest" button where necessary. On the backend side, the challenge expects you to structure your NestJS code well, handling requests, responses, errors, and interceptors properly to ensure a clean and maintainable api. You have 7 days to complete it. If you pass, hr will contact you for a short screening interview. After that, you move on to the technical skill round, where the questions range from mid to hard difficulty, mostly based on real-world experience and how you would handle different scenarios. If you clear this round, the final step is an interview with the CEO. The atmosphere is relaxed, with no pressure, and everyone is friendly throughout the process.
