      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Criteo (Boston, MA) in Jun 2016

      Interview

I applied online and had a basic phone interview. The recruiter was very helpful. She sent me a test to gauge my knowledge of online advertising metrics. Next step included an in-person interview with a few members of the team. It was pretty informal but again basic in terms of interview. The next phase was where I realized this was not a good fit for me or my career. I was asked to come in and present data in a way that I would present to a client. There was a larger group that included team directors. Mind you, I probably have more experience than everyone in the room, but immediately felt the “mean girl” attitudes from a couple of the pretentious “directors”. I knew from the first handshake (before my presentation even began) that I was not going to get an offer and if by a miracle I did, I would not accept it. A couple of weeks later, I got a phone call with an offer but I had already accepted a much better opportunity outside of account management. Upon declining, the recruiter seemed very offended and began to give me feedback on my presentation. I listened to the unwarranted criticism and thanked her for the opportunity. Until then, the recruiter had honestly been the highlight of the process. Overall, I didn’t have a positive experience and it effected a sales call Criteo made to me. A little advice to the employees: don’t burn bridges with candidates because you never know where you may run into them again.

      Interview

Todo se desarrollo normal hasta la entrevista final con un business case study. Me quedé sin noticia y sin feedback despues... Los recursos humanos tienen que tener respeto por el tiempo y trabajo que un candidato dedica para un proceso.

      Interview

Started with HR and the moves to Managers. Both teams were very competent and the process was smooth. It lasted around 3 weeks the questions were relevant and the timing was correct. Enough time to prepare and good feedbacks received after each interview round. I eventually accepted the offer.

      I interviewed at Criteo

      Interview

It was a 4 round process; screen call, 1st interview with the hiring manager, panel interview with their team, and lastly a mock presentation in front of the hiring manager and 2 other managers. Wasted a month of time going all the way through for a rejection. Quickly came to see after that many people in this position do not look like me; they are mainly white and even more so, white women. Think its pretty obvious why I didn't get the role. Unless you're applying to this company for anything outside client facing stuff, you probably won't be hired if you are a POC.
