I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Capital One in Feb 2024
Interview
Reached out by recruiter, below is the complete interview process I went through:
1) 30 minute initial screening call with recruiter.
2) Second round was a 1 hour mini case interview, It was pretty straightforward and the prep material provided was good enough.
3) The final round was a Powerday with 2 case interviews and 1 product Interview. The product interview was easy and the questions you find on Glassdoors should be enough to prepare for it. However the case interviews were much more difficult than the mini case interview. The prep material provided is clearly not enough for this round. I felt they are looking for a very specific answer from you for the questions they ask and no matter how creative and good you are with your answers it doesn't matter unless you get close to the answer they are looking for.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Mini Case Interview: How to improve profitability of a newly launched credit card
Product Interview:
a) 10 ways to improve trash bin
b) Choose an app of your liking and follow up questions on that.
Full Case Interview 1: How to improve profitability of a rental workspace provider company.
Full Case Interview 2: How to measure profitability of a marketing strategy for a new product.
The interview was based on 3 phases. First was screening on call then a video interview with mini case then a power day with 3 phases including product interview, case based and economics based.
First, Screening call: the HR simply walked you thru the interview process and schedule the next round of interview - mini-case. I haven't done the mini case yet. Mini case, just search online for potential cases and prepare for it.
Fairly straightforward. Recieved a mini case then the power day which consisted of a behavior interview, a case and a product sense interview. The Product Sense asked for me to choose any product and identify 10 potential users for it
