I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Capital One (Owasso, OK) in Mar 2011
Interview
Two interviews. fast callback. They will lie to you and tell you that there is no Average call handing time. The truth is that they do have a monthly minimum call expectation of 2000 attempts to contact monthly, working 40 hours per week, getting paid bi-weekly. A good typist is a plus for this position. If you are too good and too efficient, it will cause co-workers to have a harder time making commission.
They contacted me a few days after I submitted my application. There are assessments to take and that took a little while. There is a phone interview and then the recruiter scheduled a face-to-face interview with a manager. The interview was brief (personality and "what would you do in this situation" questions). Received a call back in less than a week.
I applied through university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Capital One (Sioux Falls, SD) in Sep 2011
Interview
It was a walk in job-fair with 20+ recruiters. Very relaxing environment, definitely one of the easiest interviews I've been too. I was one of the first ones and was taken into an empty classroom space at local college. Interview lasted about 45 mins with him saying he will get back to me on their decision. Ended up getting a phone call about 3 hours after the interview saying they'd like to give me an offer.
